Holy Week is the most sacred period of our Christian faith. It is a time when we gather as a community of faith to journey with Jesus to Jerusalem, stand with him before his accusers, walk to Golgotha, and stand at the foot of his cross. Finally, on Easter Sunday, we will joyously celebrate Christ’s resurrection, lifting our voices in praise of the hope that is ours and the world’s. If you can, join us for all of it, remembering that without the journey of Holy Week, Easter loses its deep meaning.

We invite you to join us during Holy Week for these services

Passion Sunday April 13th @ 10:30 am

Also observed as “Palm Sunday,” a commemoration of Jesus’ suffering and death. We hear the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem (see Mark 11:1–11)

Our service will begin with “the Procession of the Palms,” where our New Beginnings Kids will hold palm branches as they enter the sanctuary while the congregation sings “Hosanna.“

Maundy Thursday.jpg

Maundy Thursday April 17th @ 6:30 pm

Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper (see Matt. 26:26-29)  and Christ’s washing of the disciples’ feet. (see John 13:1-15)

“Maundy” is likely derived from the Latin “mandatum” which means “commandment.” Because Thursday night of Holy Week corresponds to the Last Supper, it includes Jesus saying, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another as I have loved you.” This is the night of that New Commandment, in other words, it is New Commandment Thursday.

Good friday.jpg

Good Friday April 18th @ 6:30 pm

On Good Friday, we remember the events leading up to and including the crucifixion - and the crucifixion itself.  We have a time of reflection to take in what Jesus truly did for us. We recall the story of His Passion by which our Lord suffered and died for our sins. (see John 3:16-17)  Then He rose again on the third day (Resurrection Sunday). Remember: it may be Friday now... BUT SUNDAY IS ON THE WAY!

RESURRECTION SUNDAY APRIL 20TH @ 10:30AM

JOIN US AS WE CELEBRATE THE SINGLE GREATEST DAY IN HUMAN HISTORY!

The Lord has risen, defeating death, bringing salvation and eternal life to everyone who puts their faith in him. The agony of the cross has been replaced by the ecstasy of the Resurrection. As Paul declared in his first letter to the Corinthians: “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
