Become All Things

To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some. -1 Corinthians 9: 22 NASB

Have you ever been conversing with someone and all you can do is stare blankly because what they say makes no sense? We’ve probably experienced this while at a doctor's appointment. The doctor is using terms that are not in our everyday vocabulary and we wish they would explain in terms we can understand. This got me thinking about how I interact with folks who have never been to church, never read the bible, or have a different belief other than Jesus as the savior of the world or are struggling with their faith. I don’t want to fire word rockets at them and get the same blank stare.

We encounter many people who have stories, struggles, and cultural differences; whatever the case, we can reflect Christ to others if we take the time to listen and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in our interactions with others. Hopefully, some will come to develop a

relationship with Christ or have their faith strengthened.

Heavenly Father, thank You for coming to earth as a human who can relate to us. May we imitate Your heart for others so they may know of salvation, Your love, and the purpose You have for their lives.
