For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. - Eph 6:12 ESV
Here we are again, with many catastrophes happening all at once, all over the world. It appears the earth and its inhabitants are feeling the pressure from all sides during the chaos. Who’s to blame? Scripture tells us we are not fighting against flesh and blood. We can see that people can be used for good or evil and even our thoughts can work against us. But our ultimate adversary is the devil and God gives us strength and His word to stand, resist, pray, and discern between good and evil.
For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 2 Corinth 10:4 ESV
For the LORD your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory. – Deuteronomy 20:4 ESV
Whatever we face, God is with us. He is our refuge and strength. We must tap into the power and authority He has equipped us with to face the troubles here on earth with Him.
Heavenly Father, You are holy, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, nothing is higher than You. Guide us with Your Spirit today as we pray, as we stand, as we wait and walk with You.
