Finding God in Our Everyday Lives

Updated: Nov 27

Glory in His Holy name; let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad. -1 Chronicles 16:10 NASB

Last week, we had high wind warnings, and I had committed to taking my horse with a friend and her horse to an appointment ninety miles away. I have a tall trailer, which the wind loved. I knew others were concerned about us driving in such conditions and were praying. I could feel the Lord’s strength and guidance the entire trip even when the truck and trailer felt like we were floating on air or a big gust wanted to pelt us sideways. Not one ounce of fear entered my thoughts during the drive only my usual butterflies while backing up the trailer once we returned.

My skills are a work in progress while driving a trailer backward. I am learning that there are days that are considered stressful, yet when I take the time to look at all the ways God showed up in my day, the tension subsides, and His power is evidenced in me. In verses 11-12, he tells us to “Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done, His marvels and the judgments from His mouth…”

Heavenly Father, the glory belongs to You, may You help us set our minds and hearts to seek You throughout our day, and may we remember You are not far from each of us. Open our eyes to see You.
